We are pleased to announce a new Professional Certification Course in Ayurvedic Body Therapies and Massage taught by Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, Dr. Manisha Kshirsagar, & Margo Uma Gal September 28th to October 28th on Maui.
We are excited to pass this ancient knowledge of Ayurveda on to Licensed Massage Therapists, Students of Massage Therapy and Health Care Professionals. This 108 hour certification course will introduce specific ways of looking at the body from an Ayurvedic perspective. It is a great honor to have Dr. Suhas and Dr. Manisha come from California to share their great wisdom of Ayurveda and Body Therapies. I hope you can join us. May all beings benefit!

Who would be interested in taking this certification course?

Licensed Massage Therapists, Health Care Professionals, Ayurvedic Practitioners wanting to experience more hands on body/mind training.

Where & when is this course held?

Dr. Suhas teaches September 28-30 : Friday: 9-6 p.m. Sat. & Sun. 9- 1p.m. (17hrs)
Location: Maui Academy of Healing Arts, 310 Ohukai Rd. # 318 Kihei 96753
Description: Dr. Suhas will introduce basics of Ayurvedic Philosophy. He will also introduce working with the mind/body psychology and how to work with emotions as they surface during Ayurvedic bodywork. An introduction to the subtle body including chakras, and marma points will be introduced as well as description of Ayurvedic Oils. This week-end will prepare students to take the Oct.  course with Margo.

Margo will teach October 2 – 23rd Tues. & Thur. 9-4 p.m. & Friday 9-2 p.m. (73hrs)
Location: Aloha School of Massage : 355 Hukilike St. # 203, Kahului.
Description: The first three weeks of this course will  introduce practical applications of abhyanga warm oil massage, with attention on subtle points. called: Marma Chikitsa. Theory of specific oils and herbs to use externally for specific doshic body types. How to recognize if someone is out of balance and the best treatment and oils to apply. Practicum on Ayurvedic Spa Treatments, and  scalp/head, face marma pts. and sequencing.

Thursday October 25   9-5p.m. All Day Clinic.
Description: On this day, students will bring in clients & patients to work on and apply the practical knowledge they have learned.

Dr. Manisha Kshirsagar teaches  on October 26 – 28 (18 hrs)
Description: This course will end with Dr. Manisha introducing “Beauty from Within” where she will introduce diet, nutrition and simple Ayurvedic Herbs. This will also be a practicum class where we will be using fruits and herbs applied for Ayurvedic Facials.

A certification of completion of 108 hr. training in Ayurvedic Body Therapies and Basics of Ayurvedic Massage will be given.

Tuition Fees

$1,600 for Certification Course is enrolled and paid on or before September 1st, 2012. If paid after September 1st, the tuition will be $1,750. $325 for weekend only.
